Author by Night

He’s a policeman, a soldier, a programmer, a farmer, a murderer, a priest and a politician. He is anything that he wants to be. He’s a salesman by day and an author by night.

Bitch n. A female canine animal, especially a dog

June 27th, 2005

Most Christians avoid the public use of certain words.

Walk into any hardware store and tell them you want a 3/4" nipple and they will hand you one. Tell them you want a file and they might ask, "Bastard?" Some Christians can’t say a dog is a bitch, but they can refer to a female horse as a mare or a pig as a sow.

You won’t hear Isaiah 36:12 quoted in church.

Christians might quote 1 Thess. 5:22 when asked why they behave this way.

Inferior Complexities

June 21st, 2005

When you question a person’s statement, the author and his followers will mount a defense.

When you question their authority, they will mount an offense.

Sometimes the attack is cloaked with a smile or decorated with scriptures, but it is an attack nonetheless.

When someone feels inadequate, influence is more important than the truth.

1 Corinthians 10:12
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but G-d is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with that temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it.
Gates of Prozac

Focus on Infinity

June 4th, 2005

re·al·i·ty (r-l-t)
n.

  1. The totality of all things possessing actuality, existence, or essence.
  2. That which exists objectively and in fact.
  3. The illusion that keeps Christians from attaining spiritual maturity.

If you are an eternal being, why then are you concerned with a temporal existence of little consequence?  Should not your mind and spirit be focused on that which is eternal?

If your perception of reality is indeed credible, then you may not be as eternal as you think.
