Christians have a language all their own and I’m not talking about their manner of speech. I’m referring to the verbiage. No one but a Christian says things like seek your face. When I am looking for my wife, I do not say I seek her face. I say I’m looking for her. How many other examples of Christianese can you think of?
The Son didn’t mimic the jargon and idioms of bygone days. He spoke clearly and plainly so that all could understand. Do Christians think their King James linguistic gymnastics will draw the world to the cross?
In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s not working, so stop it. Speak the language of the people or save your self-elevating jargon for your weekly club meetings because only those who know the secret handshake seem to appreciate it.
It sounds harsh, but you know I’m right and if not, show this to an unbeliever and see if he or she agrees. I dare you.

It is all so very simple.
1) People are starving.
2) We have the food and the means to distribute it.
The problem is not a lack of resources. It is a lack of effort.
So you see, it is our fault after all. What did you do about it this week?

A friend will give you something you need.
A brother will give you something he needs.
