Shortly after some muslims and others proclaimed that hurricanes Katrina and Rita were G-d’s punishment on the United States, a massive earthquake rocked Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, killing thousands. The death toll is still being tallied as bodies are pulled from the rubble. The previous accusers have become embarrassed and silent.

Religious parties on both side of the veil are pointing G-d’s finger at each other. What if He is unhappy with both sides?

When we were kids, we were told that if you point a finger at someone, there are three others in your hand pointing back at you.

It’s probably a good idea to leave G-d’s finger alone and let Him speak for Himself, lest a greater calamity befall the pointer.

It’s hard to get a whole cat in a crockpot if you want to add vegetables.

Even ground level is high when you are standing in a deep hole.

This is G-d’s reference to Ishmael, the child of Abraham’s unbelief, the father of the Arabs, the Muslims.

Ismael had 12 sons, who became the founders of Ishmaelite tribes that spread from Egypt to what is today Iraq.
